Dr. John P. Strickland, DVM: Dr. Strickland graduated from Auburn in 1973, and has practiced veterinary medicine in Maryland, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Alabama. He has been the owner and veterinarian at the Inverness Animal Clinic since 1986. When he’s not at work, he enjoys photography, biking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Sarah Strickland, Practice Manager: Sarah graduated from UAB in 2012 with a BS, and from UA in 2014 with an MLIS. She is currently in school to earn her Veterinary Practice Management certification so that she can bring you the highest quality of veterinary management. She has been employed since 2005, and has been the practice manager since 2014. When she’s not at work, her hobbies include cooking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and her boyfriend and their pets.

Jessica Brown, Veterinary Assistant: Jessica graduated from UAB with a BS in Biology in 2018, and she’s been employed since 2016. She’s the main person you’re most likely to see when you walk in the clinic, and she’s also the most likely to take your phone call! Jessica loves animals, and hopes to pursue a Veterinary Technician’s degree soon. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her animals.
